DIGITAL PUBLICS
TUESDAY 9 FEBRUARY 2016 AT FEDSQ
#digitalpublics

Here’s my Storify of the day

What kinds of public spaces are made by creative intervention? What kinds of public spaces are made without creative intervention? What do these interventions tell us about public space? Digital Publics brings together the ideas, the hands and the technologies that redistribute spatial encounters, redefining the public that they seek to engage.

I’ve curated Digital Publics as a day-long symposium to explore new approaches to public space, focusing on the layers of connection and cultural experience that are introduced by media and social technologies.

It’s a dream line-up of makers with brains and heart: Jade Lillie, Matt Jones, Katrina SedgwickSeb Chan, Martin Tomitsch, Lynda RobertsJason MalingAphids: Willoh S Weiland, One Step At A Time Like This: Julian Rickert, Freeplay: Dan Golding, Tom Penney, Troy InnocentM. Hank Haeusler, Andrew Apostola, Marcus WestburyAngharad Wynne-Jones and Glenn Harding. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be able to bring these people together so that we can share in some good thinking together.

Stay tuned for Digital Public Sydney on Thursday 2 June 2016.
