Fully Sick podcast

I was honoured to be Jenny O’Keefe’s guest for Episode 2 of Fully Sick, her important podcast sharing the individual stories of people living with chronic illness or disability. Our discussion was open and comfortable, covering everything from the everyday rollercoaster that is having a body, to the specifics of my brain condition and my endometriosis, and my own experiences of capability or convalescence. I ended with the reflections that as a woman, I prefer to speak openly about my own embodiment; that as a feminist, I do so as a political act; and that as a human being, I would rather own that right rather than see it commodified or transformed into a mode of oppression.

Here’s the audio. Be sure to subscribe via iTunes or follow on Soundcloud, and here’s the Facebook page. And finally, some more about my brain condition.
