The Doppelgänger Conversations: Speculations on the Original and the Copy: A conversation between Research Fellow Rochus Urban Hinkel and Esther Anatolitis.

Dr Hinkel and Esther Anatolitis discuss philosophical concepts and social phenomena around the questions of ownership, authenticity, as well as concepts of identity, appropriation and difference. Can copies become more relevant than originals? Is a copy an original work? Who defines what is an original and what is a copy?

This conversation was part of Dr Hinkel’s UniSA, SIDA Foundation and David Roche Foundation Curatorial Research Fellowship in Interior Design and Decoration (2020 – 2022). The conversation took virtually place in Yellow Drawing Room at Fermoy House, at the David Roche Foundation, Adelaide on November 22, 2021.
