The #FedSqDebate on 13 February 2018 was presented by Open House Melbourne with the Australian Institute of Architects’ Victorian Chapter and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. It aimed to stimulate informed discussion on the Victorian Government’s decision to allow Apple to demolish a building and create an exclusive brand exercise in what is currently Melbourne’s premier cultural precinct – a decision that was made without the necessary public processes. I spoke for the negative team alongside Cr Rohan Leppert, Tania Davidge and Ron Jones.
